Is Life Supernatural?

If human life is only possible because God unites spirit with body then our entire lives are supernatural events. We receive our spirit at conception and die when our spirit leaves our body. So God is daily interacting with humanity by giving and taking away spirits as new people are conceived and older people die. Consider this quote from the book The Indwelling of Deity (1980) by Maurice W Lusk III (I don't recommend the book):
"This idea [of the Greek pneuma] is identical with the Hebrew ruach found in the old Hebrew Scriptures, which was used for the spirit of man as well as the Spirit of God. The ruach was the invisible, rational life force which animated the human body. It was breathed into man by God at creation making him a living soul (Genesis 2:7) and returned to God at death (Ecclesiastes 12:7). The spirit in man accounted for both the animation of the body and his intellectual powers. More significant is the fact that ruach was also used to identify God. The expressions 'Spirit of God' and 'Spirit of Yahweh' are predominant in the OT for God's divine presence and, more significantly, his divine power."
If the spirit of man and the Spirit of God are identical in their nature then the indwelling of our personal spirits, which happens every moment of every day, is just as miraculous as the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. How should we deal with the implications of this fact? How do we (Churches of Christ) speak about the "miraculous" if we can't define it as supernatural?
